He’s the tough-talking former UK Special Forces Soldier who has been putting a slew of struggling local celebrities through their paces on SAS Australia.

But Ollie Ollerton has revealed that he suffered a setback of his own after having to scrap his extravagant James Bond-themed wedding in July because of the coronavirus pandemic.

The 49-year-old military veteran revealed he had planned to free-fall from a plane, drive an Aston Martin before hopping on a motorbike to meet his fiancée Laura Gander at the altar.

Speaking to news.com.au, ‘gutted’ Ollie explained that his and Laura’s nuptials was themed: ‘Bond, Babes and Villains’.

He revealed: ‘I was going to free fall into the wedding from a plane. We had Aston Martin’s on standby to pick me up and take me into the wedding to a certain point.

‘Then, for the final leg, I was going to get onto my 1971 classic cafe racer [motorbike] and ride in to meet my bride,’ Ollie said.

He added that his blushing bride Laura was also planning to arrive in style via a helicopter.

Ollie says that he and his other half may not revisit the Bond theme once they start planning for their wedding again.

‘We’re in no rush. We’ve been together a while now so we will be going to the altar at some point,’ he said.

He also said that they are toying with the idea of going away on a short trip to get married on their own before coming home to celebrate with friends and family.

Ollie announced his engagement to Laura in a post shared to his Instagram on New Year’s Eve in December 2019.

‘I am humbled by her love and her beauty, my proposal met with acceptance ❤️ 2020 is already looking up! I love you @lauragander11 ❤️❤️,’ he wrote.
