Samantha Armytage attends Golden Eagle Day in a near-identical outfit to the one she wore last year

Sunrise’s Samantha Armytage certainly abides by the old adage, ‘if it ain’t broke, why fix it?’  

In a case of sartorial déjà vu, the 44-year-old attended Sydney’s Golden Eagle Day on Sunday wearing a near-identical outfit to the one she wore to the same event last year.  

Samantha left fans perplexed as she strutted down the red carpet in a red pencil dress and thick headband combo reminiscent of her 2019 look.  

Causing fans to play a game of ‘spot the difference’, Samantha replicated last year’s hair, makeup and spray-tanned complexion, while accessorising the look with a similar pair of gold drop earrings.   

Recycling last year’s look down to the finer details, Samantha completed her look with her favourite pair of red sandals and a matching red pedicure.  

However, eagle-eyed fans noticed small tweaks to Samantha’s look – including a red Louis Vuitton bag that looked vastly different to the beige envelope clutch she toted in 2019. 

Perhaps the most significant change to Samantha’s look was the addition of her new  engagement ring from fiancé Richard Lavender, 60. 

The ring features a simple, round-brilliant cut stone, and is estimated to be worth $80,000. 

Elsewhere during Sunday’s race day appearance, bride-to-be Samantha was spotted posing for photos on the red carpet alongside her equestrian businessman beau. 

The couple looked positively smitten as they held hands and beamed for photographers. 

The couple announced their engagement in July this year, eight months after publicly confirming their romance.   

They are said to have met at socialite Skye Leckie’s 60th birthday party in April 2019,
