Channel Seven’s SAS Australia breaks streaming ratings record – with viewers flocking to see the uncensored version on 7plus
Channel Seven’s SAS Australia has proven to be a ratings juggernaut.
On Thursday, TV Tonight revealed that the show has smashed on demand ratings records.
The BVOD (Broadcast Video On Demand) ratings for the premiere episode reached 320,000 viewers.

That smashes the previous record held by reality program Big Brother, also on 7plus.
Director of Content Scheduling, Brook Hall, told the website: ‘SAS Australia has not only been a hit on broadcast, but it is now our biggest-ever show on 7plus.
‘Viewers are flocking to the original, uncensored versions on 7plus, driving record audiences’.

7plus offers both the censored version, which airs on TV, and the uncensored version of the show.
It comes after the season premiere of Channel Seven’s SAS Australia scored an incredible ratings victory over Nine’s The Block earlier this month.
The show was the most-watched entertainment program of the night, launching to 1.194 million viewers nationally.

The brutal realty show was also number one in its 7.30pm time slot and trended on Twitter.
SAS Australia also pulled in 834,000 viewers in the five-city metro market, while The Block was watched by 783,000.
They were followed by Channel 10’s Have You Been Paying Attention?, which was watched by 735,000 people in the five major cities.
