Southern Charm’s Craig Conover reveals the secret to sprucing up your home decor

People are spending more time at home than ever before because of the coronavirus pandemic and many who’ve been stuck indoors are now looking to spruce up their space.  

In an exclusive chat with DailyMailTV, Southern Charm star Craig Conover dished out his tips for switching up your decor, and revealed the details about his exclusive new collection of throw pillows in collaboration with Thomasville. 

Plus, the 31-year-old the interior designer says that the new season Southern Charm will ‘pleasantly surprise’ fans and hints that season seven is ‘something new.’

Spruce it up! In an exclusive chat with DailyMailTV, Southern Charm star Craig Conover dished out his tips for switching up your decor, and revealed the details about his exclusive new collection of throw pillows in collaboration with Thomasville

Craig was eager to share with DailyMailTV some expert tips on how people can give their space a simple facelift after spending months cooped up indoors.

‘A very easy tip to starting to get adventurous in your home is to just go with your gut,’ Craig advises. ‘If you like something, do it. If you don’t like it, then don’t try to force it.’

The Bravo star cautioned not to ‘overthink it’ when it comes to sprucing up your decor style. 

‘Have fun with some bright colors and mix and match,’ he added. ‘Just throw a bunch of stuff together and see what sticks – and a lot of times it turns out.’

This year Craig’s brand Sewing Down South partnered with Thomasville on the launch of an exclusive Fall 2020 collection of throw pillows. 

Conover was in the midst of planning the new line, which was going to launch in the prestigious High Point Market in North Carolina, when the pandemic hit. 

His team briefly hit pause and pivoted to making personal protective equipment (PPE). Now the reality star is thrilled to finally reveal the highly anticipated collection of multipurpose pillows. 

Craig says that modern designs give the pieces a professional look and will make anyone who uses them feel like an interior designer.

'Instead of having one or two in a room, you can really fill a room with our entire collection,' he explained. 'They're 22X22 pillows, which give me a larger presence on the couch or wherever you have them.'

This new line is just the beginning for Craig and Thomasville and he hopes to continue to expand and grow their partnership. 

‘I think extending this line as far as possible is the goal, and it’s going really well and a lot of people that we’ve been talking to so far think the same,’ he revealed. 

His professional successes are a big part of his story this year on the new season of Southern Charm.

‘Something crazy always happens,’ Craig said of season seven. ‘I think we do a great job of capturing what’s going on right now and it’ll be really interesting to see that play out on the new season.’ 

Returning this year along with Conover are Kathryn Dennis, Austen Kroll, and Shep Rose, as well as newcomers Leva Bonaparte, Madison LeCroy and John Pringle.

Craig described the new season as a bit different than ‘typical Southern Charm fashion.’ 

‘It’s something new,’ he teased. ‘I think I think people will be pleasantly surprised.’  

Cameras were rolling this year from February to July and as stay at home orders cam down and the cast began quarantining, they switching to self-shot footage.
