Shawn Mendes puts his buff biceps on display as he enjoys a cup of coffee

He has been self-isolating with girlfriend Camila Cabello since the pandemic struck the US seven months ago.

But Shawn Mendes appears to have remained active throughout quarantine.

The singer, 22, put his toned biceps on display as he enjoyed a morning stroll in Miami over coffee.

Shawn sported a white tank top, midnight blue shorts and slides as he strode about his girlfriend’s community on his own.

While he was enjoying some alone time, he remained connected with his AirPods, sitting snugly inside his ears.

After years of being on the road, the singer has been embracing his time laying low amid the pandemic.

‘It’s funny, when I got here, it was like the beginning of the album process and I was in a full panic state,’ he recently said on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. ‘I was like, “There’s no way I’m going to make music. This is going to be impossible.”

‘But a week goes by and you start cooking eggs in the morning, you start doing laundry and taking dogs for walks, and you have a coffee mug that you use the same one every day, and it just becomes really nice.’

While his new life may seem ‘so normal for everyone else,’ Shawn said it’s been the opposite experience for him.

‘It’s very abnormal for me. I’ve basically been living in hotel rooms since I was 15. So it’s been nice, man, it’s been really nice,’ he explained.

Shawn certainly seems to be enjoying his life in quarantine this past year, and has been seen taking walks around Camila’s community with her.

There was also once speculation Camila was more than just friends with her Fifth Harmony bandmate Lauren Jauregui.

However, Lauren shot those down in a recent interview on Becky G’s podcast En La Sala, where she admitted the rumors made her ‘uncomfortable.’

‘People thought Camila and I were into each other, and that made me so uncomfortable. Like disgustingly so uncomfortable, because I was queer, but she was not. It made me feel like a predator, essentially,’ Lauren explained.

‘It made me feel like a predator because of the type of clips people would put together, the type of stories people would write, and the type of stuff, I was always the aggressor, and I was always the one turning her. I was always the one who was like the “masculine” energy in the scenario, and it made me very uncomfortable because that’s not how I identify. That’s not to say that that’s wrong to identify with that.’

‘I also did not have that connection with her. Camila and I were just very good friends, at that time,’ she said. ‘We respected each other. When each other would talk, we would look at each other. We had love for each other, like genuine friendship.’

‘In the Latinx culture, growing up, I was very affectionate with all of my friends,’ she said. ‘That actually made me so uncomfortable to the point where, I, to this day, hyper-analyze every connection that I have with a girl because I don’t want them to feel like I’m looking at them that way.’
