Schapelle Corby flaunts her chipped nail polish and battered cuticles after her glove breaks while making one of her artistic resin clocks

Drug smuggler-turned-reality TV star Schapelle Corby launched her artistic clock-making business earlier this year.

And on Thursday, the 43-year-old proved once and for all that creating resin clocks is no easy feat.

Taking to Instagram, Schapelle showed off the end result of her artistic handiwork in the form of unsightly chipped nail polish and battered cuticles.

‘Artist’s hands,’ Schapelle captioned the post. She then added: ‘When the glove gets a hole in it and your nail polish is gross.’

She then zoomed in on her nails which were unkept and discoloured.

Schapelle started making resin clocks out of recycled wood in January, even selling them at auction for $1000.

At the January auction she donated the proceeds to Australia’s bushfire appeal.

It comes after Schapelle’s turn on SAS Australia, where she was rumoured to have been the highest paid celebrity on the show.

It’s believed she negotiated a $150,000 pay packet. However, an insider denied this figure in an interview with The Daily Telegraph this week.

‘All I’ll say is the total talent fee would’ve been less than $1million for the entire group… a good investment for Channel Seven as ratings are through the roof,’ the source said.

They added: ‘There’s a flat fee and an additional daily rate you’re paid for each day you stay on.’

Daily Mail Australia has reached out to Channel Seven for comment.

On Friday, a source closely connected to the show told Daily Mail Australia that most of the contestants were paid between $30,000 and $50,000.

However, one star apparently managed to negotiate a remarkable pay packet of $20,000 per hour.

The second episode saw both Arabella Del Busso and Schapelle Corby elect to leave, while Mitchell Johnson quit during Tuesday’s episode.
