Marnie Simpson shows off her epic Halloween decorations as she celebrates son Rox’s first birthday

She’s had a tough year after being diagnosed with a condition called Trigonitis, following the birth of her first child.

But Marnie Simpson, 28, looked happier than ever on Wednesday night as she showed off her epic Halloween decorations ahead of a special night of spooky style fun for the start of son Rox’s first birthday celebrations.

The Geordie Shore star and fiancé Casey Johnson, 25, organised a luxury private dining experience in the comfort of their home, which she’d decked out with countless black balloons and numerous pumpkins.  

Taking to Instagram, the mother-of-one gave her followers a glimpse into the set-up with a tiered birthday cake positioned on top of a bespoke ‘Rex Is One’ cart.

The dining table was adorned with black crockery, glassware and candles, with a long centerpiece comprising an array of white and black flowers and silver sculls.

Adding extra touches, black bird cages were hung from the ceiling with fake crows perched on the side. 

The raven haired beauty also showed off the huge number of presents awaiting her son – all wrapped in Halloween themed paper.

Marnie – who got engaged to her X Factor singer beau in August – documented the evening’s events, which saw top chefs Jack Blumenthal and Scott Perkins take over her kitchen to create a gastronomical delight.   

The Geordie Shore star gave the chefs a glowing review, captioning her post: ‘Had the most amazing in dining experience tonight for the beginning of roxs 1st birthday.

‘We wanted a intimate dinner to celebrate the first year of roxs life HALLOWEEN STYLE and it was epic!!!

‘I want to say a massive thank you to the most luxury chefs I’ve ever came across @jack.and.scott. It was sensational words can’t describe the Michelin star service and food ! 

‘It was insane and what a Ultimate dream team anyone wants chefs for any occasion give these guys a follow.’

The reality couple are yet to set a date for their big day and hope to start planning once the coronavirus pandemic has subsided – but Marnie already knows she’s not looking to have an ‘extravagant’ wedding.   

She told MailOnline: ‘We haven’t set a date yet. All I know is I want a small wedding on a beach in Santorini and for it to be really, really chilled, bare foot I don’t want a big, extravagant wedding. 

‘I feel like I have shown an awful lot so maybe my wedding will be the one thing I keep private.’   

Marnie underwent surgery 10 days ago after being diagnosed with a condition called Trigonitis, which is an inflammation of the trigone region of the bladder.

The illness, which is more common in women, can cause frequent urination, a burning sensation when using the toilet and the strong persistent urge to go.

Marnie, who is currently in recovery from her recent surgery, said she considered having her bladder removed completely after also dealing with depression and anxiety as a result of her ill-health.
