Former WAG Nadia Bartel says she hasn’t celebrated lockdown being lifted yet due to ‘mum duties’ following her split with AFL star Jimmy during awkward radio interview
She split from her ex-husband and retired AFL star, Jimmy Bartel, last year.
And on Thursday, fashion blogger Nadia Bartel spoke about her ‘duties’ as a single mother during Melbourne’s lockdown.
When asked if she had celebrated restrictions being lifted by going to the pub yet, she told Nova 100’s Chrissie Sam & Browny: ‘No, I didn’t. I was on mum duties. But I would have loved to.’

As an official Melbourne Cup Carnival ambassador, Nadia appeared on the radio show to encourage the public to celebrate the spring racing season at home.
‘I’m looking forward to dressing up,’ she said of taking part in the Melbourne Cup carnival at home without wearing the usual activewear or loungewear.
Nadia also gave tips on creating grazing platters at home, and what men should wear to impress the ladies.
Despite being asked about dating and first-date styling, Nadia did not once mention ex-husband and the father of her children, retired AFL star Jimmy Bartel, in her interview.

Jimmy began a new relationship shortly after confirming his separation from ex-wife Nadia in August last year.
In September, the former WAG appeared to offer a dignified response to Jimmy’s anniversary announcement with his girlfriend Lauren Mand.
While both Jimmy, 36, and Lauren, 31, openly celebrated one year together, Nadia chose to share a simple message with her fans at the time.
‘This was July. My hair was so much shorter and I loved my outfit… ain’t a lot has happened since,’ Nadia joked in her caption, referring to Melbourne’s stage-four lockdown.
Nadia doesn’t follow Jimmy or Lauren on social media, but it’s likely she would have been aware of their anniversary posts.

Nadia and Jimmy announced their separation on August 15 last year, but they are believed to have actually split two months prior.
They share custody of two children, sons Aston, four, and Henley, one.
The pair married in February 2014 in a lavish ceremony on the Bellarine Peninsula.
