Costa reveals its Christmas menu for 2020 including Quality Street hot chocolate

Costa Coffee has delighted fans by announcing their highly anticipated Christmas drinks menu – which includes an array of chocolatey treats, including a Quality Street Purple One® Hot Chocolate, After Eight Hot Chocolate and and Terry’s Hot Chocolate Orange.

For the first time in the brand’s history, Costa Coffee is taking three famous festive chocolate favourites and transforming them into their most luxurious drinks range yet.

In comes after the chain revealed their lavish food selection for the festive season, which includes a Lobster Toastie and a Brie, Bacon and Cranberry panini. 

Available from Tuesday 3rd November 2020, Costa fans will be able to enjoy their all-time favourite chocolatey treats reimagined as sumptuous hot drinks, while those who don’t like chocolate can enjoy winter warmers in the form of Hot Spiced Apple or an Irish Velvet Frostino.

Anyone that screams ‘save me a purple one!’ the minute a tin of Quality Street is opened will be delighted to know that Costa is making a decadent the Quality Street Purple One® Latte in stores nationwide.

This festive twist on Costa Coffee’s classic handcrafted latte has a rich caramel chocolate sauce and roasted hazelnut syrup, topped with a light dairy swirl and drizzled with a moreish caramel chocolate sauce inspired by the Quality Street Purple One ® chocolate. 

Each latte comes with a ‘Purple One®’ chocolate which will be a relief for anyone worried there won’t be any left in the tin.

Those partial to the unmistakable flavour of an After Eight thin will enjoy the heavenly After Eight® Hot Chocolate, with the coffee shops’ signature hot chocolate and a festive splash of cool peppermint syrup, finished with a light creamy topping and dusting of chocolate powder. 

Alive with minty moreish-ness, every cup comes with an After Eight chocolate thin.

For those who enjoy a citrus kick, Costa are also offering a Terry’s Chocolate Orange Hot Chocolate.

Deliciously decadent and indulgently chocolatey, it’s the classic Hot Chocolate with the addition of rich caramel chocolate ‘Purple One’ sauce and roasted hazelnut syrup – it really is the perfect accompaniment to those Christmas errands.

Also back is the  Irish Velvet Frostino, an indulgent, creamy Christmas creation, with a special syrup combines hints of caramel and heavenly vanilla for a delicious non-alcoholic Irish Coffee flavour. 

Topped with Belgian Chocolate sauce, a swirl of lightly whipped cream and crunchy caramel pieces, this delightful drink can be enjoyed with or without a hit of coffee.

The hot version, the Irish Velvet Cream Latte, appeared on the autumn menu this year.

While cheese lovers can indulge in their Brie, Maple Bacon & Cranberry Stonebaked Panini which Costa says has a harmony of creamy, smoked and tangy flavours

Those on vegan diets are also catered for this year, with it meat-free Turkee, Cranberry & Stuffing Bloomer Toastie making its debut this year. Jam-packed with vegan turkee, vegan sage and onion stuffing, cranberry sauce and fresh spinach, it's a perfect alternative for those looking for a vegan twist on the classic seasonal toastie

If a welcome chill is what you need, the Black Forest Chocolate Frostino is a mouth-watering combination of sweet cherry and velvety chocolate in a cool, creamy Frostino, perfectly finished with a light dairy swirl, shimmering red chocolate curls and cherry sauce drizzle.

Also back on the drinks menu this year is the Hot Spiced Apple, a fresh winter warmer perfect for colder nights, served with a slice of lemon for some added winter zest.
