Battle of the breakfast shows! Seven’s The Morning Show and Nine’s Today Extra pulled in a rare TIE in recent rating figures

Channel Seven’s The Morning Show and Channel Nine’s Today Extra had a rare tie in ratings.

Both of the breakfast shows drew in an impressive 112,000 viewers overall last week.

This is a step up for Today Extra’s Sylvia Jeffreys and David Campbell, who have yet to win in the rating war against the Kylie Gillies and Larry Emdur fronted show.

The last time Today Extra came out on top was a week back in March 2018.

In a further analysis, Today Extra tied with its competitor despite not screening the show in Perth on Friday because of the U.S Presidential Debate.

On the other hand, The Morning Show did screen in Perth.

Channel Seven came out top in the ratings in Perth, Adelaide and Seven, while Nine’s Today Extra won over Sydney and Brisbane.

The last time Today Extra came out on top was a week in March 2018.

On the whole, it was a good week for Channel Seven as Sunrise swept yet another week with 233,000 viewers.

Samantha Armytage and David ‘Kochie Koch’s Sunrise continues to be the leading program across Australia.

Nine’s Today, fronted by Karl Stefanovic and Allison Langdon, trailed slightly behind with 215,000 viewers.
