Guy Sebastian has been delightedly celebrating his album T.R.U.T.H reaching the coveted number one position in the ARIA Charts.

In a post shared to his Instagram on Saturday night, the singer thanked his fans for their support as he marked the milestone achievement.

The 38-year-old revealed that the moment was made even more special after his parents, Ivan and Nellie, flew from Adelaide to Sydney to celebrate with him.

Speaking to The Daily Telegraph, the hitmaker explained: ‘I would go so far as to say the most amazing night that I have had in a very long time, just being with my family in all aspects of that word.

‘To have my parents come in and my siblings and in-laws, just tipped me over the edge. I was a bit of an emotional wreck’.

Admitting that it’s a moment he’ll ‘never forgot’, Guy added: ‘I do realise how rare it is and as an Australian artist to be able to get that number one and for the music to connect with people the way it has means the world to me.’
