‘Never gets old!’ Rebecca Judd laughs as Channel Nine replays footage of Tony Jones’ VERY awkward attempt to kiss her – more than four years ago
She made headlines in August 2016 when she instinctively pulled away and yelped, as Channel Nine’s Tony Jones attempted to kiss her on the cheek on live television.
And Rebecca Judd couldn’t help but laugh as the network replayed footage of the awkward moment, during a charity telethon on Friday night.
‘Never gets old!’ the 37-year-old captioned a clip of her giggling self watching the telethon from her Melbourne home on Instagram Stories.

The incident took place in August 2016 on Rebecca’s last day as Nine News Melbourne’s weather presenter before going on maternity leave.
Tony said ‘Good luck, Bec!’ before leaning in to give her a peck on the cheek.
At that moment, the Postcards host instinctively pulled away and yelped, before bursting into fits of giggles.

Realising he had just been rejected on camera, Tony crossed his arms and grumbled, ‘Okay, good, this is going well,’ as his face turned red.
Rebecca took the faux pas in good humour and later agreed to give Tony a friendly kiss at the 2018 Brownlow Medal count.
However, Tony, 59, has since been haunted by the footage of his awkward attempt to kiss the AFL WAG, and finally reached the end of his tether this week.

In an interview with TV Tonight on Wednesday, the former Today show sport’s presenter begged Channel Nine bosses to stop replaying video of his cringeworthy encounter.
‘The Rebecca Judd kiss has had its day,’ he stated.
‘Okay, it’s an awkward moment, but let’s leave it there,’ Tony continued to plead.
