Nicole Kidman’s stand-in battles dire weather conditions on set of Nine Perfect Strangers in Sydney

We’re far from Hollywood now! Nicole Kidman’s stand-in battles dire weather conditions on set of the $100 million series Nine Perfect Strangers in Sydney’s Barangaroo

Filming is well underway for the $100 million Hulu TV series, Nine Perfect Strangers.

And on Saturday, Nicole Kidman’s stand-in was spotted battling dire weather conditions as the show continued recording in Sydney – which was transformed into a New York City street for the occasion.

The actors and staff were faced with lashings of drizzly rain as they attempted to film in Barangaroo, with Nicole’s stand-in seen sporting a face mask as she waited for action to be called.

Not so glamorous! Filming is well underway for the $100 million Hulu TV series, Nine Perfect Strangers – and on Saturday, Sydney’s Barangaroo was transformed into New York City

The set itself saw a neon sign reading the words ‘I heart NY’, and New York City hot dog stall and a small news stand serving papers, magazines and chocolate bars.

It also featured a fake Subway station; Franklin Street, Downtown.

Dozens of cast and crew stormed the streets for filming, all adorned in a face mask to stay safe during the coronavirus pandemic.

The production will likely have created some much-needed jobs for Aussie tradies who have been affected by the coronavirus pandemic.

Despite the scope of the production in Sydney, it’s nothing compared to Byron Bay.

The star! In July, Nicole Kidman (pictured) told The Daily Telegraph she's 'thrilled' to be able to bring the $100 million production and hundreds of jobs to the local film industry, after it was sent crashing down by the coronavirus pandemic

Not only is Oscar winner Nicole staying in a $20,000 a week ‘eco-mansion’ with her family, her production company has reportedly leased a whopping 60 properties in the area for cast and crew.

The various properties will potentially be used as sets or as accommodation for cast and crew who do not already live in the area.

Nicole has been living in Byron Bay on-and-off with her husband Keith Urban and their two daughters since filming for the show began earlier this year.
