Ferne McCann was left shocked when she received a large bouquet of flowers from a secret admirer.

On Thursday’s episode of Ferne McCann: First Time Mum, the star, 30, was in disbelief as a delivery man arrived to hand over the surprise gift.

Speaking to the camera during the episode, she said: ‘I thought it was my sister at the door but it is a massive bunch of flowers.’

Ferne quickly brings the gift into the kitchen and finds the card attached: ‘I just need to figure out who they’re from. Can you believe this?’

‘”Thinking of you, love your secret admirer.” What? I’ve got a secret admirer! Things like this only happen in the movies.’

Ferne’s sister Sophie then arrives for a visit and the former TOWIE star quickly shows her the flowers.

‘They’re from a secret admirer,’ she tells Sophie who replies: ‘Stop, they’re massive!’

In a new interview, Ferne, who found fame as a cast member on TOWIE, told how there are still many things her fans don’t know about her.

She said: ‘I’m a really sensitive soul. There are still lots of things that people don’t know about me and that they might be surprised by.

‘Really the things that I love doing the most are the things that are quite normal. I love normality and being indoors and having a day to chill and watch Saturday night TV and be at home. I love to cook so much. It gives me so much pleasure.

‘I love being in the garden. I like meditating. I love to know when it’s a fool moon or a new moon. I’m just cosy. I hardly wear make-up when I’m at home.’

For anyone looking to find fame on reality TV, Ferne warned they shouldn’t expect too much and will also have to work to maintain their privacy.

She said:  ‘My advice to anyone starting in reality TV is to be prepared to work hard. Don’t be too expectant.

‘There is a hustle and don’t expect that it will happen overnight. As quick as you can get the success and fame from reality TV, it can go just as quickly as you got it.

‘Just network, and work hard by being professional and getting involved. Just have a goal and have a direction with where you want to go, and just smash it.

‘What I would say is to maintain some sort of privacy, you have to keep your circle around you tight knit. For me on most weekends I am indoors cooking with my nearest and dearest.’

Speaking about her friendship with fellow TOWIE stars Sam and Billie Faiers, Ferne admitted she feels like she was ‘destined’ for the limelight.

She said: ‘I always wanted to be doing something showbiz, whether that be on stage, or my own reality show. I just feel like I was destined for it.

‘Sam was the first that got into this industry, and Billie and I used to work together. We would always have ended up doing something creative and fun.’

Speaking about her daughter Sunday, 2, Ferne admitted she is already ‘more testing than all the Essex divas’.

She said: ‘She’s nearly three and she’s still having the tantrums. They are definitely getting shorter, and fewer and further between. She’s at a really nice age.

‘It’s just one of those things you have to grin and bear and work through the phase. She likes a foot stomp. She’s just been testing and pushing the boundaries. You just have to be consistent and stay strong.

‘Let me tell you, Sunday can sometimes be more testing than all the Essex divas. She’s a little mini diva for sure. Honestly, I don’t know how she’s so strong willed, bossy and independent.’

On Thursday’s episode of This Morning, Ferne spoke about her dating life, or lack thereof, saying: ‘Unfortunately not [dating anyone], but when I say that to the universe, “no I’m not ready, I’m going to concentrate on me” that’s when the universe wants to send men my way.’

Ferne’s mother Gilly moved in with her at the start of lockdown who helped her out with parenting duties.

She said: ‘It’s just a constant learning curve [being a parent], learning on the job. I made a wise decision moving my mum in at the start of lockdown to help me out but all routine went out the window.

‘Daughter is back in my bed, we didn’t have any strict routine. I feel like I’m quite a relaxed mum and need to put my foot down sometimes.

‘I can’t believe I’m on series six, it’s crazy. I feel like the show is the best home video and I can’t wait to show her [Sunday] the moments when she is 18. It is great and I still love doing the show, it’s from a single parent’s perspective. It’s warts and all, no self-editing and I think that’s what people love about it.

‘I definitely had to do a lot of growing up, I think motherhood does that for sure.’

Ferne has recently given her locks the chop, saying she feels ‘liberated’ by having shorter hair.

She said: ‘So the day before my 30th birthday I decided to cut it all off, get it all gone and now I feel like I’m a new woman. I was hiding behind my hair extensions all the time and I decided to get them gone and now I feel liberated.’

Ferne’s new secret admirer comes after she admitted she is considering becoming celibate after a string of failed romances.

In the same episode, the reality star says she doesn’t feel the urge to get hot under the covers with anyone.

Make up artist Mikey says to Ferne: ‘You’ve got to an itch that you need to scratch’, to which Ferne replies: ‘I’m thinking about being celibate’.

The television personality tells Mikey: ‘No-one is tickling my fancy at all. Honestly the longer you don’t have it, the longer you don’t need it. I just don’t fancy it right now.’

It comes as Ferne detailed what single life has been like for her since her split from former beau Albie Gibbs earlier this week.

The reality star, who is mum to daughter Sunday, two, claimed she ‘doesn’t have time’ to deal with men who don’t text back since she’s returned to the dating scene, and claimed ‘some men can’t handle [her].’

Speaking to The Sun’s Fabulous magazine on Sunday, she said of her romantic endeavours: ‘I’ve been on a few dates, but I’m not putting pressure on it or looking to settle down. I have just surrendered with my love life and what will be will be.’

She added: ‘I don’t have time to wonder why he’s left me on a blue tick – if you’re not going to reply to me then, sorry, you literally won’t be able to handle me in a relationship because then I’ll want to be chatting to you all the time.

‘Some men can handle that, some can’t. I’m an all or nothing kind of girl. Sometimes that’s endearing, sometimes it can be scary. I have toned it down a lot now, though.’

In an episode of First Time Mum, Ferne explained that with her in the UK and Albie in New York for a year, it had put a strain on their relationship, leading her to conclude he was the ‘right guy at the wrong time’.

Speaking exclusively to MailOnline the First Time Mum star admitted that despite having a ‘few date offers’, she prefers to ‘find that chemistry’ by meeting someone face-to-face.
