Roxy Jacenko DOESN’T regret supporting Candice Warner through her husband’s ball-tampering scandal

EXCLUSIVE: Roxy Jacenko says she DOESN’T regret supporting ex pal Candice Warner through her husband’s infamous ball-tampering scandal – but brands being punched by the former Ironwoman on SAS Australia as ‘disgusting’

She famously ended her friendship with Candice Warner this week, after the former Ironwoman punched her in a brutal boxing match on Channel Seven’s SAS Australia.

But on Wednesday, Roxy Jacenko revealed she doesn’t regret the years of friendship the pair had – in particular, when the PR guru supported Candice through her husband’s infamous ball-tampering scandal in 2018.

Speaking to Daily Mail Australia at the Honey Birdette Wet Swim Collection launch in Sydney, Roxy, 40, said: ‘I wouldn’t take back what I’ve done for her and everything that I’ve done with a good heart.’

Speaking out: On Wednesday, Roxy Jacenko (pictured) revealed she doesn’t regret the years of friendship the pair had – in particular, when the PR guru supported her Candice through her husband’s infamous ball-tampering scandal in 2018

Roxy was famously pictured supporting a distraught Candice at her husband David Warner’s ball-tampering press conference.

The photos came two years after Roxy’s husband, Oliver Curtis, was jailed for insider training.

Roxy continued: ‘I’ve been in the same position, where you’re under intense scrutiny because of your partner’s actions.

‘A lot of people don’t realise, but I was not paid to be by her side. I phoned her when it happened and said I’d been through it, and if you want someone to sit with you I’m more than happy to.

‘So would I do it again? Absolutely, because she was a broken person and she didn’t know how to manage it.’

During the tense fight on Monday’s episode, Candice, who was a PR client of Roxy’s at the time of filming, landed several strong punches to her friend’s face.

Roxy winced in pain as she tried to defend herself from the blows, but refused to hit back.

Roxy continued: ‘It’s disappointing, but I guess people show their true colours in different ways.

‘Now in hindsight, I’m like: “I should have bloody punched you back!” but even so, they’re words. I couldn’t do it. I’m tough with my words, but I’m not tough physically in terms of hitting someone.

‘I just think it’s disgusting and it’s not right. It shouldn’t have been part of the TV show and it didn’t need to be.’

Roxy confirmed on The Kyle And Jackie O Show on Tuesday that the pair’s friendship is over, and claims that Candice ‘sacked her’ as her manager following their stint on the show.

‘People will always let you down. I believe after what I did for Candice that it was a real smack in the face, pardon the pun,’ she said at the time.

Indeed, Candice recently announced she was no longer being represented by Roxy’s influencer management company, The Ministry of Talent.

She is now represented by The Ministry of Talent’s main competitor, The Society Agency.
