Joseph Gordon-Levitt has insisted he has ‘no regrets’ about walking a red carpet dressed as Yoda. 

The actor, 39, turned heads when he arrived at the Star Wars: The Force Awakens premiere dressed as the character back in 2015.

A Twitter user reminded the internet of Joseph’s comfy-looking DIY costume which featured a white robe and bright Green face paint.

Sharing pictures of his look on social media, a user wrote: ‘Who let Joseph Gordon-Levitt attend the Star Wars premiere in a DIY costume with Grinch pajamas underneath?’

The Dark Knight rises actor shared the tweet and responded by saying: ‘No regrets’, with the comment receiving more than 226,000 likes. 

Ellen DeGeneres was also impressed with the actor’s red carpet look as she commented on the Tweet: ‘Crafty, you are’. 

Joseph went on to have a cameo voice role as Slowen Lo in Star Wars: The Last Jedi in 2017 which grossed over $1.3billion (£1billion) at the box office.

It comes after Ewan McGregor recently confirmed the Disney Plus’ new TV series telling the story of Obi-Wan Kenobi is back on track.

The Hollywood actor, 49, who also played Obi-Wan in George Lucas’ three prequel films, made the announcement on a recent episode of The Graham Norton Show.

He said: ‘It’s the Obi-Wan Kenobi story, I suppose. It’s not all me, but it certainly will be a lot of me, which is good. We start shooting it in March next year.

Ewan also expressed is appreciation for legendary English actor Alec Guinness, who played the part of Obi-Wan in the original Star Wars trilogy.

He said: ‘The fun thing about doing that in the first place when I was much younger was trying to imagine Alec Guinness, how would he play these scenes as a younger guy?

‘It led me to watch some of his earlier work, which I had never seen before. Brilliant movies, wonderful films that he’d been in, and I had such a great time studying him in those movies.’

 Back in January, it was reported that the new Kenobi show had been shut down ‘indefinitely’ after writer Hossein Amini left the project.

The show’s assembled crew members at Pinewood Studios were all sent home, with LucasFilm president Kathleen Kennedy apparently unhappy with the scripts.

He was replaced by Joby Harold in April 2021, but script re-writes and the Covid-19 pandemic caused further delays.

Deborah Chow, who directed part of Disney Plus’ ‘The Mandalorian,’ is set to direct the series.
