James Corden cosies up to wife Julia as they attend son Max’s soccer game in LA (but he’s still showing support for his beloved West Ham!)

He moved his family to the States in 2015 after he landed the hosting gig on The Late Late Show.

Yet James Corden and his brood proved they haven’t lost their British identity as they headed to a soccer game in Los Angeles with his son Max, nine, in a full West Ham kit.

The chat show host, 42, and wife Julia Carey, 44, seemed in good spirits as they prepared to watch their eldest child play in his youth group, along with daughter Carey, five.

Hammers for life: James Corden and his brood proved they haven’t lost their British identity as they headed to a soccer game in Los Angeles with his son Max, nine, in a full West Ham kit

Max’s West Ham kit was no doubt the result of influence from his famous father, who has long supported the London-based football club.

So strong is James’ love for the club that he even held his stag do at the grounds in Upton Park with West Ham midfielder Mark Noble and former England ace Jamie Redknapp in attendance.

Hammers fanatic James had a star-studded guest list for his bachelor party, with the lads enjoying a kick about before carrying on the celebrations at Mahiki in Mayfair.

James married his television producer partnerJulia in 2012 at Babington House, a grand 18th century Georgian manor in Somerset.

As well as Max and Carey, the couple are also parents to two-year old toddler Charlotte.

Meanwhile, James recently insisted that there is ‘absolutely no truth’ in rumours of him ‘replacing’ Ellen DeGeneres on her eponymous talk show.

James put the record straight on his own show as he played a game of Spill Your Guts or Fill Your Guts with Alicia Keys.

James revealed how he ‘genuinely’ did not know where the rumour ‘even came from’ and said it would be ‘really crazy’ to take over from Ellen, 62, who has hosted her own show since 2003.

Asked by Alicia if the rumours were true, James said: ‘That is a very… happily I will answer it because I don’t even know where, genuinely I don’t know where that even came from.

‘I think somebody started a rumour somewhere and someone jumped on it. There is absolutely no truth in that story at all – zero.’

He continued: ‘And as far as considering it, I think it would be a really crazy thing to take over from someone who I think has done the job so outrageously well for like 18 years.

‘So – it’s not true and I think when the day comes to end this show will be the day to stop hosting a show everyday.’

Over the last few months, Ellen has faced allegations that she treated staffers with little or no respect and that senior producers allowed and encouraged a toxic work environment.

Last month, she kicked off the 18th season of her daytime talk show by telling her virtual audience she was ‘taking responsibility’ for the scandal, while also acknowledging she was not the behind-the-scenes villain that several reports had suggested.
