‘There’s moments. Trust me, there’s moments’: Guy Sebastian reveals the go-to place to escape his kids during Australia’s COVID-19 lockdown

Guy Sebastian has revealed the go-to place to escape his kids during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.

On Tuesday, the 38-year-old confessed his at-home recording studio was a blessing to have, with two kids aged under 10.

‘Throughout COVID being stuck at home, it was great to have the studio,’ The Voice judge told the Today show.

‘I can work there even at three in the morning and it’s all sound proof so I’m not keeping the family up which is good.’

In response to being asked if he also used it to ‘go in there every now and then and just scream’, Guy said: ‘Exactly right. There’s moments. Trust me, there’s moments.’

He shares two sons – Hudson, eight, and Archie, six – with wife Jules Egan, 40, whom he married in 2008.

Guy’s comments follow him releasing his ninth studio album, called T.R.U.T.H, and revealing he still became excited about holding a physical copy of his CDs.

‘I got my first physical copies in the mail just the other day, so that’s always going to be a moment as an artist,’ he told Daily Mail Australia on Thursday.

‘When you get like a little box delivered by Sony once they get them and you get to see the artwork, physically printed and the physical CD.

‘I don’t think I’ve ever had tour posters all over power poles. I’ve never gone that route, but it’s actually so cool to be driving around seeing.’

His comments also follow Guy, who was nominated for two ARIA Awards on Tuesday, revealing he will tour Australia in November and December next year.

‘I just want to be able to take people away from the stresses of their lives and share some special time together,’ he said.

‘I have missed playing live so much! For me, touring is the most rewarding part of being a musician.’
