Police are hunting for 15-year-old girl who vanished on her way to the shops three days ago

  • Chantel Ward was seen leaving her home in West Bromwich at 6pm last Friday 
  • The teenager said she was going to the nearby shops but did not come back
  • She was last seen wearing jeans, blue and white sweater, and black trainers 
  • Police believe she could be in Birmingham and say family are ‘extremely worried’

Police are hunting for a 15-year-old girl who vanished on her way to the shops three days ago.

Chantel Ward was last seen leaving her home in West Bromwich, West Midlands, at 6pm last Friday.

The teenager said she was going to a nearby shop at around 6pm but didn’t come back.

West Midlands Police believe she could be in Birmingham and urged anyone with information to come forward.

A spokesman for the force said: ‘Her family are extremely worried about her and we need to find her as soon as possible.’ 

Chantel is described as 5ft tall and slim with long, ginger hair.

She was last seen wearing blue jeans, a sky blue and white sweater, and black Nike trainers.

In an appeal, Sandwell Police tweeted: ‘We’re appealing to trace Chantel Ward (15) from West Brom. Can you help? 

‘She was last seen at 6pm on Friday. She hasn’t been home since and could be in Birmingham.

‘Last seen wearing blue jeans, a blue and white sweater and black trainers. Contact us with ANY info.’
