Miranda Lambert’s husband Brendan McLoughlin jokes about life in the country as he joins Instagram

They’ll celebrate two years of wedded bliss in January.

And Miranda Lambert’s husband Brendan McLoughlin made his Instagram debut on Friday with a nod to his former life.

The 28-year-old former cop with the New York Police Department seemed to be adjusting to a quieter life before sharing a clip from his wife’s upcoming music video.

Brendan was world’s away from his Staten Island upbringing as he perched high atop a horse on social media.

He let his 11,000 followers know that he was easing into his casual lifestyle with the #CityGoesCountry hashtag.

McLoughlin and Lambert looked picture perfect in one sweet snap which he simply captioned with a red heart emoji. 

Miranda cuddled up to her man for a sneak peek at the upcoming video for her new song, Settling Down.

The couple could barely contain their smiles as they giggled while resting in a hammock for a behind-the-scenes look at the video.

Miranda and Brendan were married on Jan. 26 after a whirlwind romance which began only a few months before.

She told People at the time that the couple has ‘the best of both worlds’ as they make their long-distance relationship work between his home base of New York and hers in Nashville, Tennessee.

‘We spend time in New York, we get to see our adorable nugget, then we get to come back to the farm and have the quiet life,’ she said. ‘I’m enjoying the balance.’

Miranda was previously married to Blake Shelton for four years before the couple parted ways and officially divorced on July 20, 2015.

McLoughlin was previously engaged to Jackie Bruno before Kaihla Rettinger revealed she was seven months pregnant with their son who was born days after he met Lambert in November 2018.
