A hooded gang smashed into the home of a couple with a newborn baby before allegedly robbing them at gunpoint for their six American pocket bulldog puppies.  

The horrific incident, which took place in Kensington, Liverpool, also allegedly saw the thieves make off with the couple’s car.

Three men have already been taken into custody following the incident yesterday.

The family has issued a £3,000 reward for any information leading to the return of the dogs, three of which have already been found.

CCTV footage shows one of the thugs throwing a stone through a window, which shatters and spills glass everywhere.

The gang then grab onto the door they have smashed and pry it open and force their way inside.

One of the members calls for more of the group, with five individuals caught on CCTV in the couple’s garden.

As four make their way inside, a fifth person who does not cover their face, stands outside and watches as the alleged thieves break away before he enters.

A further video shows one of the thieves leaving the property clutching three of the puppies in his arms.

The CCTV was shared on social media this morning by the couple’s friend, Wade Davies.

He said on Twitter this morning: ‘My mate, his girlfriend and his new-born baby were robbed at gunpoint yesterday. Get this shared about people.

‘They took their family car, money and six pocket bullys. Got 3 back we just need the other 3 back. 3 grand reward for return of the dogs, message @tonobulls on Instagram.’

Police said two vehicles will be forensically examined following the incident.

One of which, a Ford Focus, was found to have been stolen in a previous incident.

A Merseyside Police spokesman said: ‘Three males were detained by officers and have been taken into custody. Efforts are ongoing to locate any outstanding suspects.

‘House to house enquiries are being carried out and officers are exploring any CCTV opportunities in the area.’
