They said a farmer had been to pick up the cows, but did not have details on where they’d come from or how they ended up on Manningham Lane.

Drivers and pedestrians were told to use caution this morning during rush hour.

The Roads Policing Unit for the force posted a 45-second clip and tweeted: ‘Manningham Lane, Bradford – assisted our @WYP_BradfordW Response colleagues dealing with a herd of loose cows in the road.
