The Bachelor’s Irena Srbinovska enjoying the perks of fame

The Bachelor’s Irena Srbinovska asks her followers for restaurant suggestions in Sydney… but is she using her Instagram fame to score a sponsored dinner deal?

From quitting your job to possibly being misrepresented on-screen and vilified by viewers, people take serious risks by signing up for a reality show.

So, it’s no surprise reality stars try to get as much as they can out of the experience – from potential media opportunities to using their sizeable Instagram followings for sponsored content and freebies.

On Wednesday, The Bachelor winner Irena Srbinovska appeared to potentially leverage her large following to get a sponsored meal deal.

Good for you! This week, The Bachelor winner Irena Srbinovska (pictured) was suspected of potentially using her Instagram following to score a sponsored dinner deal

In a post on her Instagram Stories, the nurse wrote: ‘Sydney locals, I need your help. Looking for suggestions for a restaurant tonight for our farewell to Sydney with our friends. Thank you.’

While the 31-year-old didn’t explicitly ask for a deal, a trick that many influencers use is to publicly ask for recommendations for something as a way to covertly attract the interest of brands and businesses for potential sponsorships.

And given Irena’s current popularity, she would certainly be an asset to many businesses that use influencer marketing as a way to promote themselves.

Not only did the lovable nurse win Locky Gilbert’s heart over series villain Bella Varelis, she’s also amassed a sizeable Instagram following of 113,000 fans.

She also appears to be one of the more genuine Bachelor contestants in recent years, choosing to focus on her relationship with Locky instead of pursuing fame.

The beauty doesn’t appear to have shared any obvious ads on her Instagram feed yet, nor has she applied for a blue tick to be verified.

While runner-up Bella was quick to get verified and signed with an influencer agency shortly after The Bachelor season finale aired, Irena has gone a different route.

‘I’m not about being an influencer, just about being real,’ she told Daily Mail Australia earlier this month.

Irena also clarified that she hadn’t received a blue tick yet for one simple reason. ‘I haven’t even applied for it,’ she said. ‘I don’t really care about it.’
