Drew Barrymore gushes over Chloe Fineman’s accurate impersonation of her on SNL

The Drew Barrymore Show host Drew Barrymore was ‘shaking a little bit’ before coming face-to-face with SNL featured player Chloe Fineman, who impersonated her on the 46th season premiere of the NBC sketch show.

The 32-year-old NoCal native perfected the 45-year-old Golden Globe winner’s Valley Girl lisp, effervescent charm turned up to the max, and how she ‘texts everyone in her phone and interviews whoever shows up.’

‘First of all, comedy to me is I think more than medicine it’s what saves us in the world,’ Drew gushed to Chloe.  

‘It’s the most attractive quality in any partner. It’s the thing you want with your friends. It’s what you look to entertainment for, laughing is the most important thing in the world. Your talent, your range, the way you play all your characters – I am just in awe of you. I know, I’m being so “me” to you!’

Fineman gushed back that she was her ‘biggest fan’ and revealed that she created her Barrymore impression while staring at herself in the mirror at a friend’s Brooklyn loft.

‘You brought so much joy,’ the former child star said.

‘I hope you’ll keep doing this on the show. You’re my holy moley oley for life and I’m so thrilled you’re here and I’m shaking with excitement.’

Drew then asked the NYU Tisch grad to reenact her spot-on impersonation by reading her teleprompter: ‘We’re in the pretty little middle of our show and sunny side up is the sweet and stylish and oh so successful, Jessica Alba!’

When the SNL spoof originally aired on October 3, Barrymore’s official YouTube account hilariously commented: ‘We see no difference.’

‘@nbcsnl and @chloefineman is the greatest thing,’ the three-time Emmy nominee wrote on Instagram.

‘I have loved SNL for as long as I know, and to also have @DrewBarrymoreTV brought to the party is so fun. Honored to be apart of it. PS #DREWSNEWS hearts #WEEKENDUPDATE.’

Meanwhile, Chloe – who boasts 384K social media followers – previously called her parody a ‘love letter’ to Drew and ‘an ode to my Queen.’
