Cory Booker opened up about living with longtime girlfriend Rosario Dawson amid the COVID-19 pandemic, after she moved cross-country to be with him this summer.
While the actress, 41, is waiting until ‘after’ the upcoming US presidential election to unpack all her boxes, the former 2020 presidential candidate says he’s ‘enjoying and adjusting’ to their latest relationship milestone.
‘This is the first time in my life I’ve really lived with somebody,’ the 51-year-old politician revealed in an interview with BuzzFeed News.

‘I think we both realize that this is a batten-down-the-hatches, get-to-Nov.-3 kinda thing,’ the politician explained.
Since they are both working remotely from home, the pair make sure to block out ‘personal time’ for just themselves during the day and some with each other in the evening.
Dawson has also pushed him out of his ‘bachelor’ ways, by preparing meals at a table.

‘I have not done that, really, as a bachelor, where I actually sit at a table and just, like, breathe and eat a meal,’ he noted. ‘And just set a table — I can’t tell you how rarely do I set the table as a bachelor, you know, as a guy living alone.’
He added: ‘So it’s just really nice to set a table, have somebody to say grace with, before a meal.’
Booker gushed that ‘it’s just those small things’ that he finds ‘incredibly enriching’ about sharing his life with the Sin City star, who he has dated since 2018.

Despite the ongoing COVID-19 crisis, Booker has only become busier, according to one of his aides, who says he is able to ‘do more events for more candidates.’
The aide pointed out ‘the unique circumstances’ have allowed Booker to do virtual appearances all across the country in a single day.
During his profile with BuzzFeed, Booker also joked about maintaining an impressive step count by handing out masks to neighbors.
‘I did get 10,000 steps in, I want you to know that, before like 2 or 3 p.m. I was very proud of myself,’ he told the outlet.
