An emotional George Bragias admits he’s struggling on The Block as his wife Sarah swears at judges

‘We always come up short. It’s heartbreaking’: An emotional George Bragias admits he’s struggling after never winning a challenge on The Block as his furious wife Sarah crudely swears at the show’s judges

George Bragias admitted the pressure was starting to get to him during Monday’s episode of The Block.

The 33-year-old electrician struggled to hold back tears as he confessed that losing every single one of the show’s challenges so far had taken a toll.

Meanwhile, his wife, Sarah Bragias, delivered some choice words for the show’s judges after failing to impress them with her renovated rooms.

‘When are we ever going to be good enough for you? That’s how we feel,’ mused a fed up Sarah, 27.

‘It just gets a bit disheartening, every week. Everyone’s won. At the end of the day, we’re the only ones who haven’t won anything, and I’m just starting to get over it,’ added George.

George admitted that while he and Sarah also came on The Block to ‘have fun’, they dreaded Sunday nights, when the show’s judges assessed their rooms.

‘Eight weeks in a row, all we ever do is leave here being kicked in the teeth. It’s hard,’ he added, as Sarah nodded in agreeance.

Later, when asked by the show’s producers if she thought the judges would like the kids’ bedroom she was designing, Sarah confessed she didn’t care.

‘My motto this week is f**k the judges,’ she said bluntly, adding, ‘I just think I’m really sick and tired of listening to their crap.’

But it was all getting to be too much for George, who struggled not to cry while talking about the pressure of appearing on the Channel Nine show.

He said he ultimately came to the conclusion that he and Sarah might not be able to wow the judges given their limited budget.

‘I’m just a bit emotional today. I don’t know what’s wrong with me,’ he admitted, as a concerned Sarah asked if he was alright.

He added quietly: ‘Yeah, I’m alright. I’m alright… It’s just, we try and it’s hard. We try so hard and it’s like, frick, we always come up short. It’s heartbreaking.’

As he fell silent and began to get teary-eyed, Sarah rubbed his back and assured him he was okay.

‘It takes such a strong person to do this show. It does. It’s not easy, mate,’ he added.
