Looking great at 81! Crocodile Dundee legend Paul Hogan is spotted for the first time in MONTHS as reclusive actor celebrates birthday with his family in California

Australian icon Paul Hogan has been pictured for the first time in over four months, as he celebrates his 81st birthday with family.

The Crocodile Dundee legend appeared in high spirits as he stepped out in Los Angeles, California, on Thursday.

The reclusive star sensibly wore a face mask for the outing, and looked content and happy dressed in a blue check shirt and light blue jeans.

He teamed his look with a pair of New Balance trainers, and carried a jacket under his arm to later shield himself from the cold.

The actor, who helped put Australia on the map with his ‘shrimp on the barbie’ television adverts, still appeared to be in great shape in his 80s.

It’s the first time the youthful-looking Hogan has been pictured in public since May.

It’s believed the pair spent the day together, alongside Paul’s ex-wife and Chase’s mother, Linda Kozlowski.

Paul and Linda appeared to have remained amicable in recent years, as Linda also helped celebrate the iconic actor’s 80th birthday in Los Angeles last year.

Paul, who grew up in Sydney’s Granville, moved to the US permanently in 2005.

It’s been 34 years since he rose to fame portraying the lovable larrikin Mick Dundee in 1986 comedy-adventure hit Crocodile Dundee.

In July, Paul explained that he isn’t upset if he was typecast following his iconic role.

‘I’m a one-hit-wonder. But he was a mighty hit,’ the 80-year-old told Stellar.

‘I don’t get recognised as Mick Dundee much now, but then I don’t walk around in the outfit. But the longevity of Dundee has been amazing,’ he continued.
