This is the incredible moment a bride who was born with no legs managed to walk down the aisle on her wedding day.

Rosie Babor, who lives in Cebu City, the Philippines, had initially planned to use her wheelchair on her wedding day.

However, Rosie wanted to experience her wedding day like any other bride would and decided to walk herself down the aisle instead.

On October 5 Rosie Babor, who was born without any legs, walked down the aisle under her own steam to marry Mario Perez

On the day of her wedding, on October 5, she ditched her wheelchair to walk down the aisle towards groom Mario Perez using her hips and right hand to move along.

In her left hand she held onto her bridal bouquet and she wore a customised wedding dress that made it easier for her to get down the aisle.

At one point in the video of her walking down the aisle, the person filming asks Rosie to stop and smile for the camera.

Speaking after being married, Rosie said: ‘I wanted everything to be perfect for my wedding, so I knew I had to walk down the aisle. It made the day so much more special, overcoming that small difficultly.’

Using her hip and right arm for support she made her way down the aisle. She held onto a bouquet of flowers in her left hand and wore a specially made dress that allowed her to move more easily

One of the Rosie and Mario’s friends, Arvin Sumagang, said they were happy that the two can finally build a family together – with Rosie fulfilling ”every girl’s dream” of walking down the aisle.

He said: ‘We are happy that the wedding was finally pushed through. They had to cancel several plans because of the pandemic. Their story is inspiring and I am happy that they found each other.’

The region in where Rosie lives is still under local quarantine because of the coronavirus pandemic, meaning she was only allowed to invite a limited number of guests.

But her ceremony, which took place after three years of dating, was still attended by family and close friends.

Rosie and Mario had been dating for three years before deciding to get married and their limited service was attended by family and close friends
