Ben Shephard returns to Good Morning Britain after two months away as filming ends on 165 episodes of Tipping Point with 660 contestants

Ben Shephard returned to Good Morning Britain after spending two months away to film Tipping Point.

The TV presenter, 45, told his fellow co-host Susanna Reid that it was ‘nice to be back’ as he explained he had been busy working with 660 contestants on the show.

After she informed viewers it was ‘a wrap on Tipping Point’, Ben began: ‘Yea series 11, we completed it yesterday.

Exciting: Ben Shephard returned to Good Morning Britain on Thursday as filming ended on 165 episodes of Tipping Point with 660 contestants

‘I posted a picture of the lovely four contestants we had for the last episode, 165 we have recorded so some 660 [contestants were] there.’

Referring to the snap he shared via Instagram on Wednesday, Ben went on: ‘There they are, and right in the background you see Eddie our floorman doing a star jump.’

Susanna joked he must have been ‘happy’ to have finished recording that many episodes, and getting ‘the last one in the bag.’

Paying tribute to the show’s team, Ben added: ‘As you can see it’s been a huge undertaking by the team, as we know here, trying to get a show on the air each day when you’re under COVID protocols.

‘To get contestants from all around the country, making sure they feel confident and safe and stuff, but we have finished the series, I have no idea when it’s going on air.’

Kate Garraway asked if it was a good season, and Ben admitted: ‘There are some belters in there, there’s a double jackpot in there and a double drop, I still don’t know what that means.’

Tipping Point sees contestants from all parts of the country join in to try and answer a general knowledge questions in the hope of winning a cash prize.

After his final recording session, Ben shared a snap of the contestants and wrote in the caption: ‘So today we completed series 11 of @itvtippingpoint and these are the brilliant constants we had for episode 165!!! (Plus our floor manager Eddie doing a star jump in the background)

‘It has been an immense undertaking for the entire team to put this series together, not to mention the 660 plus contestants who have taken part.

‘We have filmed 165 eps including tons of jackpots, lots of trades, some heart breaking losses a “double double drop” (what even is that!?!?!) ANOTHER DOUBLE JACKPOT WIN and maybe my favorite wrong answer of all time #Agathachristie (when it airs you’ll know why!)

I honestly can’t thank the team enough for all their hard work, they have made the seemingly impossible possible – all during a global pandemic, oh and they’ve put up with me too which is no mean feat!!

‘The only thing missing has been the #benhugs but I’m saving them up and they will return!! I can’t wait for you to see them #tippingpoint’

Something to look forward to: Kate Garraway asked if it was a good season, and Ben admitted: 'There are some belters in there, there's a double jackpot in there and a double drop
