They caused shockwaves in Essex after their secret two-year romance was revealed.

And Chloe Sims, 37, revealed more details about her relationship with pal Pete Wicks as she spoke with Georgia Kousoulou on Wednesday night’s TOWIE episode.

Chatting about how couple’s therapy with her former flame went, Chloe admitted that it was ‘heavy’ and her ‘revenge’ rebound Dan Edgar knew about her and Pete.

Chloe said: ‘Therapy with Pete was pretty heavy.. better that it’s out [news of their secret romance], I’d prefer to be hated for truth.’

The blonde beauty then went on to open up about what happened between her and fellow co-star Dan, who is now dating his on-off girlfriend Amber Turner.

Chloe said: ‘Obviously I got into that situation with Dan in Thailand… back then I was so hurt and upset I didn’t even defend myself. Pete moved on with someone and we had made a pact that if anyone moved on we’d let each other know, and he didn’t.

‘So there was Dan saying things like “you do know I’d marry you? Why don’t you f**k Pete off and come with me?” But it massively backfired didn’t it.

‘I shoved it on Dan and when it didn’t work out and I was double hurt. I wasn’t innocent, I was doing it a bit revengeful and I hold my hands up to that, it wasn’t about dan – he was just a rebound – it was about Pete.’

Chloe then explained that their therapist had advised them both to ‘take some time apart’, confirming that they’re trying to follow the instructions.

While later in the show Chloe also addressed the current hot topic of her love life with Diags as they tried out beekeeping.

She said: ‘It was a mistake that won’t leave me! It was never about Dan- I got over him as quick as I got into it.’

Dan also had a few words to say about the drama when it came up in conversation while he played pool with the boys.

Proving he was well over it and quickly shutting down the conversation, Dan said: ‘I couldn’t care less if I was a rebound. Me and Chloe were close friends and we crossed the line.

‘The main thing is when it ended I went with my gut and got back with Amber, so it’s irrelevant now isn’t it.’

It comes after Chloe broke down in tears on Sunday night’s episode of TOWIE as she admitted to being with men as ‘revenge’ against Pete.

The pair headed to couples therapy to save their relationship after they went eight months without speaking following a falling out.

During the therapy session, Pete admitted they ‘blurred the lines’ of their friendship and had been romantic with each other on and off for two years.

Anna Williamson, who conducted the therapy, asked them: ‘It moved into a sexual relationship? I don’t know if you’re comfortable with me putting that term out there?’

Tearing up, Chloe said: ‘At this point, I don’t know. I’m not as strong as everyone thinks and I can’t be bothered to keep being strong all the time.

‘I don’t know if we can go back. I feel like he wants me to be his friend and I don’t know if I can do it.’

Pete admitted if their friendship had never turned sexual, their falling out would probably never have happened.

He said: ‘If we hadn’t blurred the lines we wouldn’t be in this position and I’d still have my best friend.’

Anna then asked the pair how long their friendship had been sexual, with Chloe saying: ‘There’s a pattern. When he can’t have me, he wants me.

‘When I go away, he follows. Then we spend time together and then the minute I switch and want that, he goes ‘no’.

‘That’s led me to take revenge a few times. I’ve done things to hurt him with other guys and it seemed to work because he comes back.’

Fans thought Chloe was referencing her brief romance with Dan. The pair embarked on a relationship after the Lothario split from Amber Turner.

At the time the reality star called Dan ‘husband material’ and said she lost weight following their split.
