Radio hosts Carrie Bickmore and Tommy Little explained that her sister, Elly Miles, had been the one to tell them about the indiscretion.

‘[Elly] said you did, but she reckons you wouldn’t be where you are now if you hadn’t have done that,’ Carrie said.

Becky agree with this, but said she still ‘very guilty’ about being unfaithful in the past.

‘It ate me up inside. And I haven’t done it since.’

Becky added that another boyfriend went on to cheat on her, which she described as a ‘bloody horrible’ experience.

‘But if I didn’t have that heartbreak I wouldn’t be where I am,’ she said.

She also admitted she found it difficult putting her heart on the line on national TV.

‘I think it’s hard to put yourself out there because you don’t want to get hurt,’ she said. ‘At the same time, I really love being in love.’

It comes after Becky admitted on The Kyle and Jackie O Show on Wednesday morning that she’d dumped someone in order to film The Bachelorette.

For weeks, she had dodged questions about her relationship status before filming began in late July.

But she admitted to radio hosts Kyle Sandilands and Jackie ‘O’ Henderson that she had in fact been ‘seeing someone for a short period of time’ when producers came knocking.

‘Were you single when they approached you? Or did you have to ditch someone?’ asked Kyle.

‘If I was in a relationship, I definitely wouldn’t have gone on the show…’ Becky said, choosing her words very carefully.

But when pressed for an answer, she acknowledged that she was dating someone when she was offered The Bachelorette – but insisted it wasn’t serious.

‘I was single, but I was seeing someone for a short period of time there,’ she said. ‘Just a bang buddy?’ asked Kyle, to which Becky responded: ‘Yeah.’

The Bachelorette continues Thursday at 7:30pm on Channel 10
