Harry Pavlou storms off and threatens to quit The Block after an argument with foreman Dan Reilly

‘I’m going to walk off The Block!’ Contestant Harry Pavlou threatens to quit and admits he’s ‘had enough’ after a heated argument with foreman Dan Reilly about safety

Harry Pavlou had a heated exchange with foreman Dan Reilly during Wednesday’s episode of The Block, which saw the contestant angrily storm off.

The 57-year-old threatened to quit the show after Dan questioned him about removing some scaffolding that had been set up in his house.

Harry admitted that once the plastering had been finished, he’d removed all the scaffolding to create more space to work in the room.

But Dan said it created a ‘safety concern’ for the other tradespeople, who still needed to get up into the high void to finish off their work.

Harry insisted he’d go up on a ‘big ladder’ and finish the painting, but Dan told him it wouldn’t work given the height and shape of the room.

‘Look, this week’s been quite challenging. This is a challenging space here. I can’t get a scaffolding in to do it. I didn’t design this house,’ a frustrated Harry told Dan.

But a persistent Dan told Harry there was no way he could allow him to get on a ladder to paint the void.

‘I can’t let you just go up there and paint unsafely. You could fall, injure yourself. The Block could get shut down. WorkSafe will come in and say, “Why has that happened?”‘ he explained.

A fed up Harry admitted the pressure of being on The Block was ‘getting’ to him, and complained that getting regularly pulled off the building site to go and participate in challenges was ‘too hard’.

'F**k off, man. I've had enough. I've f**king had enough...' Harry cursed as he stormed out of the house

‘I cannot be in three places at once,’ he told Dan, prompting him to fire back, ‘I’ve got eight other contestants that can do it.’

Dan added: ‘I’ve got eight other contestants that can project manage, and all I’m hearing is excuses.’

Admitting he was getting ‘hot under the collar’, Harry threatened to ‘walk off The Block’ when Dan suggested pulling out the newly installed fireplace to fit the scaffolding back in the room.

'Walking off isn't going to solve anything!' a dumbfounded Dan called after him, with Harry yelling, 'Just leave me alone! Just f**king leave me alone! I've had enough'

After sitting alone in his car for almost an hour, Harry managed to calm himself down, later admitting he’d needed time to ‘rethink everything’ before returning.
