Greene King ‘will close 79 pubs and restaurants and axe 800 jobs’ as industry’s trade is hit by Covid and 10pm curfew

The company today started a consultation process with 800 employees about a redundancy process, Sky News reports.
It says the company, which has nearly 1,700 managed pubs and 1,000 tenanted venues, wants to redeploy affected staff wherever possible.
