Osher Gunsberg has addressed his absence from The Bachelorette on Wednesday.

The 46-year-old host won’t be seen in several episodes of the dating show after he was caught up in The Masked Singer’s coronavirus outbreak in Melbourne in August.

‘I was trying to get to work and then there was a global pandemic that locked me in my apartment for a couple of weeks,’ he said on Hit Hobart’s Jimmy & Nath show.

‘There are a few moments I didn’t manage to get there but don’t worry you’ll still see me,’ he said.

Last month, Channel 10 confirmed Osher will be absent for several episodes on the upcoming season of The Bachelorette.

This is because he was self-isolating in Melbourne following a coronavirus outbreak in August on set of The Masked Singer, which he also hosts.

The Bachelorette was being filmed at a mansion in Oxford Falls, Sydney in late July.

A network spokesperson told Daily Mail Australia: ‘He will not appear in some of the later episodes due to quarantine restrictions.’

Despite missing several episodes this season, Osher still remains the official host of the dating show.
