Alyson Hannigan reveals she kept ‘crumbling’ skeleton props from Buffy the Vampire Slayer… and uses them to make her home ‘spooky’ for Halloween
Former Buffy the Vampire Slayer star Alyson Hannigan has some famous skeletons in her closet.
Speaking to SiriusXM on Wednesday, the actress revealed that she uses old props from the much-loved show starring Sarah Michelle Gellar – including a life-sized skeleton – to decorate her home each year for Halloween.
The 46-year-old Outrageous Pumpkins host, explained that in her household she loves to go all out in honor of the spooky season, as it is her favorite holiday.

The actress shared that she has a lot of ‘graveyard stuff’ from her time on Buffy that she uses.
She added that she loves to decorate, sharing that the props from the show make up a large portion of her house decor, despite sharing that ‘some of it is getting real old.’
‘They gave me the skeletons that they would actually have in the masters layer and stuff, and they look really authentic, but boy are they crumbling now,’ she said.

In photos from Alyson’s Instagram, it is clear that the actress takes the holiday very seriously as she inundates her interior and exterior with major decorations.
‘We have to be super super careful about bringing them out..they’re like over 20 years old now,’ she said, talking about the skeletons.
She added that the props, help turn her backyard into a graveyard that is ‘real spooky,’ also opting to decorate them through her house.
The radio host revealed that he was so jealous, adding that it was the coolest thing he had ever heard, with Hannigan adding that, ‘it was pretty awesome.’

‘Every year I just get to like have little flashbacks of like oh yeah we’ve got all the tombstones that were on our little fake buffy graveyard and stuff, so it’s fun,’ she shared.
Alyson had her breakout role on the hit show back in the late nineties, where she played the character of Willow Rosenberg.
Starring opposite Sarah Michelle Gellar, Alyson was catapulted to fame and had a long career acting in the American Pie films, as she switched to more comedic roles.
Currently, Hannigan is the host of Outrageous Pumpkins on the Food Network, where she gets to make her love of Halloween, work, on the competition show about next level pumpkin carving.
