Shawn Mendes reveals why he will NEVER sing privately for Camila Cabello

Shawn Mendes has been dating Camila Cabello for just over a year now.

And while they seem more loved-up than ever, the Treat You Better star, 22, has revealed that there is still one thing he will never do in front of the Havana hitmaker.

Speaking to the Kyle and Jackie O Show on Tuesday, the Canadian heart-throb explained that he doesn’t ever perform for his 23-year old girlfriend.

‘You definitely don’t just sing to your girlfriend, especially when your girlfriend is also a singer,’ he said.

But when it comes to the music that they listen to together, Shawn admitted they were both influenced by Camila’s Latin background. 

‘She’s obviously Latina, so we will obviously always put that on in the background,’ he said.

Shawn also revealed he was house sitting for Camila in Los Angeles while she was in London filming her upcoming movie Cinderella. 

‘I don’t have a house in LA, I live in Canada so I am house watching,’ he said.

But Shawn explained that she was ‘coming back tomorrow’ and he was ‘pretty excited’ to see her again. 

‘I haven’t seen her for a month and a half so I’m pretty excited,’ he added. 

Shawn and Camila were friends for several years before they became romantically linked in July last year after collaborating on the song Señorita. 

Camila was previously in a long-term  relationship with dating guru Matthew Hussey before they split up in 2019.
