Reba McEntire is ‘having a blast’ in her new relationship and calls CSI: Miami’s Rex Linn ‘a very sweetheart of a guy’
It was recently announced that she’ll join Darius Rucker to co-host the Country Music Awards in November.
And Reba McEntire certainly wanted to share the big news with her new beau after revealing she’s in a relationship with CSI: Miami’s Rex Linn.
The 65-year-old legendary musician told her Living and Learning podcast listeners that Linn is ‘a very sweetheart of a guy’ and she’s enjoying their blossoming romance.

People magazine reported that the couple went on their first date in January and have stayed connected virtually.
‘Getting back in the dating world for me is fun and exciting,’ she said. ‘It’s good to have a person to talk to, laugh with, get into subjects about what’s going on.
‘Discussions about our past, our family, funny stories, him being an actor, me being an actress. And he’s very into my music. I’m very into his career.’
Rex has had starring roles recently on Better Call Saul and Young Sheldon, and notably played Detective Sergeant Francis ‘Frank’ Tripp for 10 seasons of the popular CBS show.
‘Getting back in the dating world for me is fun and exciting,’ she said. ‘It’s good to have a person to talk to, laugh with, get into subjects about what’s going on’
Her co-host Melissa Peterman added that the couple are ‘really cute together’ as they navigate a new love.
‘It’s just great getting to talk to somebody who I find very interesting, very funny, very smart and is interested in me, too,’ Reba added.
The Fancy singer said ‘it’s very important to be selective’ on what they share about their relationship.

‘We’re having a blast and still getting to know each other,’ she said. ‘I put myself in his shows and if he was doing this podcast [about dating] and he didn’t mention me, I would be crushed.’
Reba was previously married to Narvel Blackstock for 26 years, but their marriage ended in divorce in 2015.
She was also married to Charlie Battles from 1976 to 1987, while Rex was previously engaged to Renee DeRese in 2010.
‘Whatever happens in the future, we’re very stable and it’s been a good six months and I look forward to having more things to look forward to,’ she said.
