Paul Rudd hilariously throws shade at Chris Hemsworth

Paul Rudd hilariously throws shade at Chris Hemsworth and reveals the one actor he would really like to work with

He confessed he hasn’t been able to work since the coronavirus pandemic began in March, and on Friday, Paul Rudd took time out from his not-so-busy schedule to talk to a young fan at the Queensland Children’s Hospital.

The 51-year-old actor chatted with Jasper, a teenage fan and patient at the hospital, via a video link for Juiced TV from his home in New York.

And it wasn’t long before talk turned to Paul’s acting work, including some of his famous co-stars throughout the years.

‘I am so touched that you wanted to speak to me. I’m the smallest Avenger there is, and that includes Tom Holland,’ he joked of the diminutive Spider-Man star.

Paul portrays Ant-Man in the Marvel universe, and claimed his character was the best out of all the Avengers, throwing more shade at his co-stars.

He said Thor, played by Chris Hemsworth, ‘just has a hammer’, and admitted he’s still trying to work out what what Iron Man, played by Robert Downey, Jr., actually did.

The hilarious actor also revealed which co-stars made him laugh the most, and admitted Will Ferrell was a standout.

‘Will Ferrell really made me laugh in Anchorman, many, many times. One of them was when he said, “Milk was a bad choice,”‘ recounted Paul.

He said he also developed a rapport with Jason Segel, having worked with him in both Forgetting Sarah Marshall and I Love You, Man.

Paul said all of his lines in Forgetting Sarah Marshall were completely made up in an attempt to make his friend laugh.

But he confessed he struggled to keep a straight face in I Love You, Man, where he gives Jason’s character a nickname, revealing he laughed for around 15 minutes.

Paul described his job as ‘pretty awesome’, and said he loved working with ‘people you admire and who’s company you enjoy, and who really make you laugh’.

He also revealed which actor he’d still love to work with, admitting Tom Hanks is at the top of his list.

‘I would really like to work with Tom Hanks. I’ve been asked this question before. I’ve never said this,’ he confessed.

‘I’m such a huge fan of his and I think it’d be amazing to work with Tom Hanks.’
