Sandler revealed it happened at one of Carrie Fisher’s legendary parties, when he had been on Saturday Night Live for just a year or two in his early 20s.

‘I was there, I was a young man, I think I was on Saturday Night Live for a year or two, I was like 24,’ Sandler said.

He added, ‘Harrison Ford was there and he saw me and he goes, “Oh my God,” and I was like, “Oh my God, Harrison Ford knows me.”‘

‘He goes, “My kids like you,” and I go, “Oh that’s great.” He goes, “Would you ever want to come to my house…. and wash my car? It would really make them laugh,’ Sandler added.

He ultimately didn’t go over to the Star Wars legend’s house and wash his car, but he did say that in the years since then, he has gotten quite close with Ford.

‘Two times in a row, when there were fires in our neighborhood, we had to check into a hotel and Harrison was at the same hotel,’ Sandler said.

The funnyman added that he would, ‘consider myself tight with Harrison now’ after their hotel bonding.

He also added that when he was a struggling comedian in New York City, he made some extra money as a street performer after getting fired from several odd jobs.

‘I think my father said, “Hey, you play the guitar, there are people on the streets, so try to do that,’ Sandler said.

He added that at night he would do stand-up, and ‘in daytime I would take my guitar to the subway and play songs and people would throw change in there.’

The comedian said he’d make about ’20 bucks or so every few hours’ adding that he wasn’t ‘great at it.’
