The Great British Bake Off hopeful Lottie Bedlow was reportedly obsessed with the show and Paul Hollywood before she impressed him with her baking skills.
Lottie, 31, received the coveted ‘Hollywood handshake’ in last week’s show and friends are said to have told how she admitted it was a ‘dream come true’ to be picked for the series.
A pal of Lottie’s told The Sun: ‘When she got picked to be in the series, it was a dream come true.

‘She’s always been a massive fan of the programme, and of Paul, so she’ll have loved the fact he has already picked her out as a star baker.
‘She has been hoping to catch his eye as she is a huge fan of his — not in a romantic way but she loves his baking and his manner.’
Lottie has also proven to be a hit with viewers and has notched up over 11,000 followers on Instagram so far, the most of any contestant.
In a scene watched by 10.8million viewers, Paul, 54, showered Lottie with praise for her Quarantine Florentines, saying he couldn’t find fault with them.

Lottie said: ‘I’m never going to wash my hand again!’- something of which viewers pointed out wasn’t the cleverest thing to say in a global pandemic.
