She’s set to welcome her first child with tech professional Tom Andrews in just a few months.

But Ashley James had some words of advice for any fans further back in their relationships on Saturday, as she warned against lovers who don’t text back.

The former Made in Chelsea star, 33, took to Instagram to share a video designed to illustrate the foolishness of those who pursue doomed relationships.

She showed herself being decked out in clown make-up to an acoustic cover of Lovefool by The Cardigans, as captions appeared illustrating the kinds of excuses we make to ourselves about unreliable lovers.

The influencer explained her message in full in the video’s caption, saying: ‘You really like someone, but they’re being consistently distant.

‘Rather than walk away, our mind goes into overdrive and we try to think of every possible reason why their behaviour’s changed.

‘God I know I got stuck in this cycle and it knocked my confidence each time and my dating expectations became lower and lower.’

Ashley then reminded fans what it is like when someone really likes you, and they are not just trying to lead you on.

She said: ‘Here’s the thing we all know: if someone likes you they act like it.

‘They text you back, and they ask how are you (and not just at 1am or when they’re feeling lonely on a Sunday evening.’

As some final words of encouragement, she said: ‘Regardless of anything they are going through or have going on, you deserve respect and someone who adores you.

‘So if you’re sat making excuses as to why someone isn’t texting you back again, please take your power back and walk away. Someone better is around the corner and you don’t need the stress.’

Ashley’s latest post comes as she recently revealed her baby boy, who is due in January, is a ‘little raver’ who tends to keep her awake at night.

The body confidence advocate has also discussed the physical effects of pregnancy, insisting that while her chest ‘stings like crazy’ if she gets cold, she’s ‘never felt sexier’.

Ashley went on: ‘I love my bump body! I can’t believe my babe has grown eyelashes (and a willy) inside of me. Watching him grow bigger has given me a new appreciation for the miracle that is my body.

In August, Ashley enthused she’s ‘so excited’ to welcome her first child with her. boyfriend Tom, 30, who she praised for being ‘great with kids’.

Ashley was candid during an appearance on Jeremy Vine: ‘I wouldn’t say I’m a naturally maternal person.

‘[Tom] always said he’d want a big family and I told him I don’t know if I want that. But now, I’m so excited and I’ve basically done the nursery now in lockdown.

‘It wasn’t like a contract in which he told me that he’d leave if I didn’t give him a family, but I think authenticity in relationships is nice, he’s from an amazing family and he’s really great with children.’
