Rachel Brosnahan reveals production for The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel has resumed as she shares snaps from a socially distanced costume fitting

Rachel Brosnahan has revealed that production for The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel has resumed.

Filming for the hit Prime Video series was halted earlier this year due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Rachel, 30, who plays the lead Miriam Maisel, revealed on Wednesday that while production has resumed they are still yet to restart filming.

The award-winning actress took to Instagram to share a collection of snaps of the socially distanced set and explained that she was having a costume fitting.

Rachel posted a picture of a sign saying ‘The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Covid-19 testing site’ and penned: ‘Not back yet, but first costume fitting in the books… [celebrate emoji].’

She then shared a collection of the stunning hats worn by her character Miriam Maisel in the series.

Rachel also posted a picture of herself in a yellow fitted dress with a cinched waist belt and black hat.

Wearing a face mask, the star posed for a mirror picture with members of crew also donning protective measures for the snap.

She penned: ‘Mask game strong. Hat game stronger.

‘We’re slowly and safely getting back to it but first costume fitting is in the books Damn, it feels good to be (almost) back.’

The fourth season of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel was announced last year and was in the works until filming was forced to stop due to the coronavirus pandemic. 

The comedy series, which stars Rachel, Alex Borstein, Tony Shalhoub and Marin Hinkle, is about New York housewife Miriam ‘Midge’ Maisel who turns to stand-up comedy. 

To date, the series has won 16 Emmy Awards and three Golden Globes, including wins at both awards shows for best comedy series. The series has also won two PGA Awards, a WGA Award, and a Peabody Award. 

Elsewhere, earlier this week, Rachel, who was nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for her role as Miriam Maisel, dressed in her pyjamas to watch the awards show from home.
