Bachelor in Paradise: Jessica Brody channels Velma from Scooby-Doo

Bachelor in Paradise alum Jessica Brody is trying to beat lockdown boredom by dressing up as her favourite cartoon characters.

The 31-year-old, who rose to fame on Matt Agnew’s season of The Bachelor last year, shared footage to Instagram on Tuesday of herself in a Scooby-Doo-inspired outfit.

She channelled the character of strait-laced Velma Dinkley, posing in a baggy orange turtleneck, a red pleated shirt, knee-high socks, red shoes and oversized spectacles. 

In the video, the tattooed brunette lifts up a corner of her skirt to show off her toned legs, before turning around and twerking for the camera.

‘On a scale of one – this video of me, how are you coping with lockdown? #jinkies,’ Jessica captioned her video.

Last month, Jessica spoke candidly about her fluctuating weight over the years.

She flaunted her physique in a purple bikini and revealed she wasn’t ashamed of her ‘loose skin’.

‘Perfect bodies don’t exist. Lighting and angles do. Don’t compare yourself to pictures! After years of weight loss and gain, I have loose skin,’ she wrote.

‘On some angles I can make it look tight, but as soon as I sit down or move it’s pretty obvious and that’s fine,’ she continued.

Jessica added: ‘I don’t want young people to see my photos and feel s**t about their bodies.

‘I don’t want to contribute to a culture of negative body image. Like everyone, I have so many body insecurities but I’m trying to learn to accept and love them.’ 

Jessica also demonstrated the importance of lighting and angles by posting two photos: one that showed her looking flawless, and another – taken from a different angle – that showed her with what she described as ‘loose skin’.
