‘Teenager’ is stabbed to death on north London street sparking murder inquiry

  • The teenager treated at the scene by paramedics, but later pronounced dead

A teenager has been knifed to death in north London this evening sparking a murder inquiry.

Met Police were called at 8pm to North Road, Islington, and found a young man suffering with stab injuries.

The teenager was treated at the scene by paramedics, but was later pronounced dead.

Officers are working to establish the man’s identity and inform his next of kin.

The Met has launched a murder investigation. No arrests have been made. A police cordon is currently in place at the scene.  

A spokesman for Met Police said: ‘Officers were called at 8pm on Monday, September 14 to North Road N7, after a male – at this stage believed to be a teenager – was found suffering from stab injuries.

‘He was treated by paramedics at the scene but despite their best efforts, he was pronounced dead.

‘Officers are working to establish the male’s identity and inform his next of kin.

‘At this very early stage there have been no arrests.

‘A crime scene is in place and an investigation is in progress.’
