‘It was a massive shock to the system’: Model Erin Holland recalls her initial struggle of adapting to a quieter life in lockdown amid the pandemic

Erin Holland and her fiancé Ben Cutting were in Pakistan the month leading up to nationwide lockdowns, and returned before hotel quarantine was enforced.

And in an interview with The Sunday Telegraph, the model, 31, recalled the initial struggle of adapting to life in lockdown amid COVID-19, at Ben’s home in Brisbane.

‘For someone who usually spends the majority of the year travelling, I really struggled with it in the beginning. It was a massive shock to the system,’ she said.

Erin and cricket star Ben, 33, were fortunate to be able to undergo 14 days of self-isolation at home and not a hotel, following their return to Australia.

Despite having to adapt to a quieter life so quickly, the former beauty pageant queen said she was grateful to be able to lean on the support of Ben.

‘I was so happy I had Ben to lean on. He quickly set about creating a makeshift gym with bits of equipment we could find online, incorporating daily workouts, and doing my PT sessions over Zoom,’ Erin told The Sunday Telegraph.
