Chrishell Stause jokes she joined DWTS cast because she doesn’t ‘have anything else to lose’ after split from estranged husband Justin Hartley

After ending the latest season of Selling Sunset heartbroken over the end of her marriage to Justin Hartley, Chrishell Stause is looking forward to a fresh start. 

While discussing her new gig on Dancing With The Stars, the 39-year-old reality star admitted she is brimming with excitement and nerves about the opportunity.  

‘It has been a crazy journey and I would have never imagined this is where I would end up,’ the former soap opera actress told ET on Wednesday. ‘I’m hoping this will be a new chapter, something positive.’

She added: ‘An experience I can kinda throw myself into and just kind of learn a new skill and have fun at the same time. I have no dance experience, so it’s going to at least be a laugh for all of us.’

Additionally, she admitted to wanting to ‘change the narrative’ from her headline-making split with Hartley and feud with her Selling Sunset costar Christine Quinn. 

In July, she also revealed the heartbreaking news that her mother passed away after a battle with lung cancer, after losing her father to the same cancer last April.

‘So much has been said that there’s nothing else I want to say about [the divorce], and I think that’s a really good place to be,’ she said of her turbulent year. ‘I want to be in a place where everybody just moves on. I’m excited to move past that chapter and onto the next.’

The realtor also joked: ‘I’ve already fallen flat on my face in front of America already, so I really got that out of the way.’ 

”I don’t have anything else to lose, so it’s only going up from here!’ she concluded.

On her Instagram, Stause also spoke directly to her 1.5 million Instagram followers about her rehearsals and feeling so 'excited'

On her Instagram, Stause also spoke directly to her 1.5 million Instagram followers about her rehearsals and feeling so ‘excited.’

‘I’ve only ever danced with my girlfriends,’ she exclaimed, while gushing about her ‘patient’ partner, who has not been revealed yet.  

‘You guys, I can show you!’ she said on her Instagram Story, while recording a video of the dance studio. ‘Peep my new kicks, not the most stylish of looks, but here we go!’
