A truly candid 2012 interview between Rihanna and Oprah has resurfaced online.
In the conversation she shared how she still has strong feelings for ex Chris Brown..
The talent admitted she’ll always have feelings for the X singer, who she now considers a close friend.
‘We’ve built up a trust again, and that’s … we love each other and we probably always will.’ Rihanna, 32, told O. ‘That’s not something we’re ever going to change. That’s not something you can shut off, if you’ve ever been in love.’

According to TMZ, the queen of the Fenty empire said ‘her stomach turns when she sees him’ because there are still feelings there.
She also revealed that the duo spent time together in St. Tropez after running into each other at a mutual friend’s party.
Rihanna said that she realized Brown has changed a lot over the years, going on to say: ‘I truly love him. So, the main thing for me is that he’s at peace. I’m not at peace if he’s a little unhappy or he’s still lonely.’
When asked if they could ever reunite in the future, Rihanna wasn’t saying no.
‘He’s in a relationship of his own,’ she explained. Brown most recent relationship was with Ammika Harris, who he unfollowed on Instagram at the end of July.
‘I’m single,’ she went one, ‘But we have maintained a very close friendship ever since the restraining order has been dropped. We’ve just worked on it, little by little, and it has not been easy. It’s not easy.’

In 2009 the star – full name Robyn Rihanna Fenty – was brutally assaulted by then-boyfriend Brown after an argument between the singers escalated to violent levels.
Brown was charged with felony assault and making criminal threats.
After initially pleading not guilty, the singer pleaded guilty to a felony and accepted a plea deal of community labor, five years of probation, and domestic violence counseling.
Reflecting on what she described as a ‘dangerous’ relationship in a conversation on 20/20 in 2009, she said: ‘The more in love we became, the more dangerous we became for each other, equally as dangerous.’

Though the fashion and makeup mogul described herself as single in the interview, she recently caused a stir with a very flirty interview with ASAP Rocky.
Rumors had swirled that the two were dating back in January.
However at the time insiders told E! News that the pair aren’t actually dating but just hanging out.

Earlier this year the Fenty Beauty mogul split from Saudi billionaire Hassan Jameel after about three years in a relationship.
‘Rihanna is single. She just got out of a long intense relationship with Hassan,’ a source told E! News at the time.
‘She’s wants to be single and isn’t going to jump into something. She’s hanging out with ASAP Rocky, but she is not dating him.’
Adding: ‘They have a long history and she’s just having fun.’
Rihanna and Rocky, who were said to have had a romantic liaison or two in past years, were seen getting cozy at the 2020 Yams Day Benefit Concert on January 17.
