Frankie Bridge screams as a pan of glazed carrots goes up in flames after blunder on Sunday Brunch

Frankie Bridge was seen screaming in shock on Sunday, when she watched a pan of glazed carrots go up in flames during a live broadcast of Sunday Brunch.

The stunning singer, 31, made an appearance on the Channel 4 show, where she was seen chatting with host Simon Rimmer as he cooked and she sat across the studio.

But the chef, 57, soon sparked concern when, while putting together the side dish to his Texas roadhouse steak, he doused them with bourbon and they caught alight.

As bright orange flames engulfed the pan, Simon yelped, prompting the brunette beauty let out a scream, before she enquired: ‘Did you mean to do that?’

‘Yeah, it’s booze, you want to burn off the alcohol,’ the TV personality responded, before admitting: ‘No, I didn’t mean to do that!’

As he attempted to continue with his dish, the carrots didn’t stop burning, prompting his co-host Tim Lovejoy to ask: ‘Will that ever go out, though?’

After assuring that all was going smoothly, Simon drew laughter as he tried to blow the flames out, before things finally got back under control.

Frankie enjoyed a more celebratory culinary experience earlier this month, when she treated her husband Wayne to dinner at London’s Sexy Fish for his 40th birthday.

And Wayne looked like he’d had a whale of a time as he and his pop star wife were spotted leaving the venue.

The Saturdays singer Frankie admitted in a recent interview that lockdown suited her and husband Wayne, because they ‘don’t like getting dressed up’ anyway.

She revealed to The Mirror that she and her footballer spouse never go anywhere ‘posh’ on date nights because of this, and that they spend lockdown in their pyjamas.

‘Before lockdown, we would just go to the cinema or for dinner,’ Frankie said of her and Wayne’s nights out away from sons Parker, six, and Carter, four.

‘We’re quite lazy, we don’t really go into London or do anything that posh. We can’t be bothered getting dressed up!’

She admitted that it had been tough to plan festivities for former Chelsea footballer Wayne’s birthday, amid the ongoing global pandemic.

‘I’ve got a few surprises planned. It’s been stressful because of COVID. I would normally have found something ages ago, but I’ve had to hang back to see what the rules are,’ The Saturdays songstress admitted.

‘It’s stressful anyway trying to plan someone’s birthday so it has been an interesting one, but hopefully he’ll be happy!’

The pair have been married since 2014, having dated for three years prior to that.

Speaking exclusively to MailOnline recently, she said: ‘We’re used to spending a lot of time together. Wayne is retired. I’m home more than I used to be.

‘When the novelty wore off, we were like, “this is a lot of time at home”. But now, we’ve found our groove. You don’t have to spend all day everyday together even though you’re in the same house.

‘It’s actually been really nice. I was so busy before lockdown, I was dreaming for a day off. It’s been nice to slow down and spend time together. We’ve really enjoyed it.’

In an interview to launch Frankie’s latest project – a partnership with Ella’s Kitchen that sees her write her first children’s book – she said: ‘By the time the kids go to bed and all that stuff, we’re shattered and ready for bed.

‘We ended up doing TikToks and stupid things like that to keep ourselves entertained.’
