Chadwick Boseman to receive ABC tribute special after commercial-free airing of Black Panther

ABC will air a lifetime tribute special honoring the legacy of the late, great Chadwick Boseman following a commercial-free screening of Black Panther on Sunday night at 8pm (7pm central).

The SAG Award winner tragically passed away, at age 43, on Friday after a private four-year battle with stage IV colon cancer.

The tribute was created by The Walt Disney Co. and Marvel Studios, who produced Ryan Coogler’s critically-acclaimed 2018 superhero blockbuster headed up by Boseman as T’Challa.

It amassed $1.347B at the global box office and still holds a certified fresh 96% critic approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
