‘Just let me go’: Former Married At First Sight star Michael Goonan reveals the REAL reason behind his split with KC Osborne
Married At First Sight’s Michael Goonan and KC Osborne called it quits last month.
And the 29-year-old businessman revealed that lockdown in Melbourne played a part in their decision to end their relationship.
On Thursday, he told the Reality TV & Me podcast that ‘the lockdown was difficult’ for himself and the professional dancer, 31, who moved in with him earlier this year.

He explained that because of the restrictions in the city, he and KC were constantly with each other and rarely had time apart.
‘Amplify that with lockdown, you develop a relationship a lot faster and you develop a lot stronger feelings than you would in a normal environment,’ Michael said of his relationship with KC.
He then compared his relationship with KC in lockdown with his ‘marriage’ to his TV wife Stacey Hampton.

‘It’s like getting the handcuffs off me, just let me go,’ he laughed.
Last month, KC told WHO magazine that Michael’s failed promises of changing his ‘playboy’ ways was a factor in their break-up.
‘He sold me that dream of, “I would stop my playboy ways to have a girl like you, you’re such a good girl,” she said.

She explained that he’d made big promises of settling down and starting a family, which she desired and was her reason for applying for MAFS in the first place.
She said that after they’d split from their respective TV spouses, Drew Bauer and Stacey Hampton, she and Michael began spending more time together and he eventually pursued her romantically.
The brunette beauty said that Michael’s promises to her ‘were so full-on’, adding: ‘I’d never had a guy say that to me before. I got sold the dream and I fell for it.’
KC announced her split from Michael on July 4, telling her Instagram followers at the time: ‘It hurts my heart to write this. It’s with sadness that I have chosen to end my relationship with Michael.’
